Hera
Background
Hera or “Хера” is one of the most famous North Macedonian NGOs, which works in the area of public health. They are dedicated to providing support and improving the lives of people living with HIV and other health problems. Their member organisation “Stronger Together” provides support for people living with HIV and aims to raise awareness about the topic.
The Approach
Our task was to raise awareness and reduce the stigma around people with HIV. We created a social experiment video, which featured a person working at a coffee stand wearing a t-shirt that says “I’m HIV positive”.
We documented the reactions of people, while one of our actors was loudly complaining about the server. People debated and defended him.
The Result
The social experiment video received over 400K impressions on digital and social media. The video was shown on most major Macedonian TV stations and went viral online, both nationally and internationally.
