BACKGROUND

CLEPA, the European Association of Automotive Suppliers, represents over 3,000 companies supplying state-of-the-art components and innovative technology for safe, smart and sustainable mobility, investing over €30 billion yearly in research and development. They organise the CLEPA Innovation Awards where leading automotive innovators showcase their best work. CLEPA needed a strong creative concept to promote the awards and run a successful paid ads campaign to drive applications.

THE APPROACH

Based on the key objectives and messages, we organised two brainstorming sessions to come up with 5 different concept ideas to present to the client.
The winning idea was based on the following insight: A vehicle has over 30,000 parts and the one you are working on needs to stand out and be exceptional. The campaign went under the slogan, “Take your place in the spotlight.” and aimed to bring the attention to the individual innovator and inspire future innovators to learn from the best. We also provided visual execution guidelines and a comprehensive stakeholder mapping to strengthen the campaign. We ran two paid ads campaigns based on the chosen concept and managed to secure applications successfully.

THE RESULT

With a strong creative concept and a careful strategic setup, we ran two successful paid ads campaigns. As a result, new unique users on the website increased by more than 70%, while we saw a 173% increase in goal completions (button clicks) compared to the first ads campaign. Our Twitter and LinkedIn ads performed very well, increasing significantly website traffic, while our Google Ads campaign resulted in a high conversion rate and goal completions.
