At Savion Ray, we enjoy designing, promoting and managing events together with our clients. We often join forces to foster new relationships, raise awareness, and influence policy decisions through conferences and receptions.
To understand why we get excited about events , we are sharing some of the best approaches that led to successful and impactful events in the past.
Events have always been at the core of the EU influence toolkit. Effective event management allows for the smooth running of meetings, conferences, and receptions, facilitating productive discussions and negotiations in an informal atmosphere.
To get the maximum from the event, whether it’s a high-level conference, social experiment, launch event, or public exhibition, it is paramount to clarify specific goals and audiences to then deliver events that have a lasting impact.
Some of the strategies we use to ensure effective event planning, communication and execution for our partner organizations at both EU and national levels include:
Approaches above have helped our clients maximize the power of face-to-face interactions and realize the impact communication strategies can have on driving partnerships and decision-making.
How did we use the strategies above to make our clients’ events successful? Here are some of our best practices.
We partnered with Women Political Leaders (WPL) to boost the digital engagement of their global event, Girl2Leader. The event, which took place around the International Day of the Girl, was held simultaneously in 20 different countries and featured national politicians from 4 continents.
Aiming to inspire teenage girls to get involved in politics and become leaders, our team created engaging content and visuals to stimulate diverse audiences worldwide. We deployed Instagram stickers, live community management assistance, and social media engagement tools on Facebook and Instagram for the targeted groups, including relevant politicians.
The campaign couldn’t make us more proud, reaching 8.2 million impressions worldwide, 33k engagements, and 3.5k mentions globally. Most importantly, WPL managed to obtain political supporters such as the President of Malta, 12 MEPs, and 18 national politicians.
The Women Leaders Global Forum in Reykjavik brought together powerful women from all sectors, like politics, business, tech, science, and media. Savion Ray partnered with WPL to help them create a distinct visual identity for the event’s website and provide media support, keeping the content flow fresh and newsworthy.
Having such a great time working with WPL, we made sure to align our efforts to support our partner’s mission. As a result, the event had a global reach and brought together many influential leaders and corporations, making the event a memorable experience for all attendees.
The European Association of Automotive Suppliers was seeking a strong creative concept to promote and drive participation for the CLEPA Innovation Awards. Our campaign “Take your place in the spotlight” aimed to bring attention to the individual vehicle parts – as each individual car component also requires innovation in its making – and inspire future innovators to learn from the best. We also provided CLEPA with visual execution and comprehensive stakeholder mapping to strengthen the campaign rollout.
To communicate CLEPA’s passion for its mission to a wider audience, we ran paid ads campaigns based on the chosen concept and managed to secure an increased number of applications. The number of new unique users on the website increased by more than 70%, while we saw a 173% increase in goal completions (button clicks). Our Twitter and LinkedIn ads performed very well, increasing the website traffic, and our Google Ads campaign resulted in high conversion rates.
Investing in Climate Action was an event organized together with the European Investment Bank, the European Commission, and Project Syndicate. The goal of the event was to gather global leaders to promote climate action, including high-level speakers such as Ursula von der Leyen, Michael Bloomberg, Kristalina Georgieva, Valdis Dombrovskis, and Frans Timmermans.
To ensure maximum engagement and registrations, our team worked closely with EIB to design visuals in line with the EU Green Deal visual identity and produce teaser videos to promote the event. We also supported all partners’ content creation, influencer engagement, community management, and event analytics.
Comprehensive reporting during and after the event showcased the results of social media engagement and provided our partners with a detailed audience analysis needed to shape the strategy behind the campaign’s curtains.
All the efforts paid off as the event attracted 8,160 registrations, 28 thousand website visits, 14.7 million impressions along with worldwide recognition with major engagement from all high-level speakers and a total reach of 64 million.
It is always fulfilling to see the positive impact of our work and the success of our client’s events.
With the rise of digital communication and virtual events, the challenge is often to create truly immersive and interactive experiences that drive meaningful actions. Our team stays ahead of the curve by constantly experimenting with new technologies and strategies to ensure that our clients’ events stand out and deliver results.
